Former PSG coach, Mauricio Pochettino (54) looked back on his time in the French capital in a long interview given to The Team. The opportunity for the Argentine technician to return to the competition between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas. And the current USA coach has revealed the difficulty of managing such a situation.

“PSG already had the best goalkeeper in the world with Navas, winner of the C1 with Real Madrid. He was number one. Then, the club recruited the best goalkeeper in the Euro to put him in competition with Navas. Tell me, then, what was the best approach to keep both happy? It was difficult, yes, because when one played, the other pulled his face. Normal. But we had to share playing time. In reality, it was impossible to be fair, because both were very good. And that divided the locker room: one part thought Navas was the best, another thought it was Gigio. But it’s up to the coach to decide. I don’t think we were helped by certain consultants either”.
