The Milan derby between AC Milan and Inter Milan resulted in a series of financial and sporting sanctions. The Rossoneri were fined a total of €30,000, including €22,000 for returning to the pitch two minutes late in the second half and a further €8,000 for insults towards opposing players and for pointing a laser beam at a Nerazzurro player in the 47th minute. Fitness coach Simone Follett was suspended for one match and fined €5,000 for disrespectful remarks towards referee Doveri.
Inter Milan was also sanctioned. Dario Baccin, deputy sports director, received a fine of €10,000 for repeatedly and disrespectfully criticizing a referee’s decision at the end of the match. Furthermore, the suspension of Adrien Rabiot has been confirmed, depriving him of the next match against Lazio in Serie A.
