Tipped to leave the Reds, Andrew Robertson ultimately stayed at Liverpool this winter. The Scotland captain, whose contract ends at the end of the season, admitted there were discussions about a possible move to Tottenham, but he ultimately chose to stay at Anfield for the rest of his career.
“There has obviously been interest — discussions have taken place with both clubs. But the decision was that I wanted to stay. I never stopped being engaged. I have been committed to Liverpool for eight and a half or nine years and will remain so until I am no longer needed. This club gave everything to me and I gave everything to this club”explained the 31-year-old left back, aware that his playing time has been reduced since the arrival of Milos Kerkez last summer. “When a decision is made for my future, it will then be announced to you”he added.
