Manchester United is exploring several avenues to strengthen its left wing during the next summer transfer window, and a rather unexpected name has recently emerged: that of… Marcus Tavernier. The Bournemouth winger is now on the Red Devils’ shortlist, alongside better-known profiles like Morgan Gibbs-White and Yan Diomandé. A surprising option considering his statistics this season, with only 6 goals in 26 matches in all competitions.

But Tavernier made his mark on the Old Trafford side during the 16th day of the Premier League. During this meeting against Manchester United, the 26-year-old winger delivered a very remarkable performance, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
