FA Cup: Manchester City wins against Newcastle

Future opponents respectively of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League, Newcastle and Manchester City faced each other this Saturday at St James Park for the 5th round of the FA Cup. A meeting which saw Newcastle open the scoring thanks to Harvey Barnes (18th, 1-0). The Cityzens then equalized thanks to Savinho (39th, 1-1) before taking the upper hand in the second half.

Twice, Omar Marmoush made Aaron Ramsdale bend (47th, 65th) to allow the Cityzens to win (1-3) and reach the quarter-finals of this FA Cup. A good thing for Pep Guardiola, who rotated widely and was able to rest his executives before going to Santiago Bernabéu.
