The 2026 World Cup is fast approaching. In less than three months, the United States, Canada and Mexico will welcome the 48 nations qualified for this new edition of the World Cup. For the occasion, the French football team has already chosen its base camp. The Blues will stay at the Four Seasons Boston hotel, according to RMC.

On the other hand, the training center could ultimately change. Initially favored, Babson College should no longer be selected, reveals its side The Team. No tripartite agreement between the university, Fifa and the French Football Federation (FFF) could be found, in particular due to financial negotiations taking longer than expected.

Located around twenty kilometers from the hotel and out of sight, the site required a significant extension, in addition to land whose quality would not have completely convinced the French staff. However, this file could still evolve in the coming hours, but in the event of definitive failure, the Blues should turn to another solution already identified.

A new campus identified

Still according to RMC and L’Équipe, the Bentley University Campus would now be the preferred track. A visit was even made on Wednesday morning by the staff of the France team. The site notably has a large room usually used by the university hockey team, as well as modern locker rooms and a weight training area considered very functional.

The center would nevertheless require some adjustments to meet the requirements of the French staff. A nearby baseball field could also be used for some specific training. For the moment, nothing has been signed yet, but the final decision should be made in the coming hours.
