PSG once again wrote history in the Champions League on Wednesday evening against Chelsea (5-2), in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League. With the decisive contributions of its substitutes, and in particular Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Ile-de-France club scored its ninth goal of the season thanks to players entering the game, becoming the first team to reach this total since Kaiserslautern in 1998-1999.

While Luis Enrique regularly changes his starting lineup this season due to physical problems, this statistic illustrates the depth and impact of the Parisian bench. Entries like that of the Georgian not only transformed the course of the match against the Blues, but also showed that PSG can count on their substitutes to change the rhythm and seal crucial victories in the Champions League.
