Author of a great season for Como, Maxence Caqueret (26 years old, 25 matches, 2 goals and 4 assists) is fully flourishing on the other side of the Alps. But the midfielder still keeps Olympique Lyonnais in his heart. A club he knew at the age of 12 and within which he rose through the ranks to the first team. Leaving Les Gones was therefore not easy.
“The hardest part was especially leaving Lyon. I had been there since I was 12 years old. So I spent 12 years in this club. I had never had any other experience. I didn’t feel afraid (on reaching Como, editor’s note). But I was afraid of plunging into the unknown, of changing countries, regions and clubs. But I was welcomed in the best way here. Everything quickly went very well for me in Como”Maxence Caqueret told us this week, during a long interview to be found in full this Friday on our site. He will talk about his new life in Como, his relationship with Cesc Fabregas, his season, the French team and even the new generation of Gones who are emerging between Rhône and Saône.
