Possible future opponent of the France team, Iraq will not play its play-off at home, as was initially planned. Due to the war in the Middle East, the Iraqi selection will travel to Mexico in March, as announced by the president of the Federation Adnan Dirjal.

“The national team will leave at the end of the week for Mexico by private plane, and we have managed to get in touch with some clubs (where we play) our professional players so that they can join the selection before the international window planned for this match, played on March 31 in Monterrey”he posted on his Facebook account. As a reminder, Graham Arnold’s men will challenge the winner of the match between Suriname and Bolivia, and the winner will then be placed in Group I of the World Cup with France, Senegal and Norway.
