Endrick’s complicated evening

The Brazilian Endrick neither scored nor shone against Strasbourg. Placed on the right side of the Lyon attack, he was in difficulty throughout the match, well muzzled by Ben Chilwell. Credited with a 3 in the French Football Weekly editorial notes, the striker, who was back after his suspension served against Nice, delivered his least successful match since his arrival in France. Same observation for A.S. in Spain which speaks of an Endrick who disappeared in Alsace. The Brazilian will be expected at the turn at the Vélodrome this Sunday.

Benfica makes a fool of itself again

SL Benfica has been the laughing stock of social networks since yesterday. The Lisbon club invited the 9-year-old boy, Rodrygo, who became a hero in Portugal after saving his mother by calling the emergency services when she had fainted in her car. But Benfica posted photos of the players accompanied by the little boy and the club was lynched by the networks which referred to the racist act suffered by Vinicius Jr, a week ago. Many messages like this “oh look I’m not racist because I post a picture with a black kid”have notably flourished under the post.

Naples harmed by arbitration in Serie A

In Italy, the transalpine media are attacking VAR after a contentious action that occurred during Atalanta – Naples. “We give up” title the Corriere dello Sport after another refereeing fiasco and the Dea’s 2-1 victory against the Neapolitans. The Neapolitans are furious, indicates the pink paper newspaper. Indeed, if Atalanta overthrew Napoli and won 2-1 in Bergamo thanks to goals from Mario Pašalić (61st) and Lazar Samardžić (81st), after the Neapolitan opener, the match was marked by two much-discussed refereeing decisions: first a penalty awarded to Naples then canceled after intervention by the VAR, which stopped the visitors’ momentum. Then, a Neapolitan goal was disallowed for a very contentious previous foul, choices which greatly frustrated the Neapolitan players and managers after the match.
