Inter Milan provided the essentials on the Lecce pitch (0-2) during the 26th day of Serie A, making the difference in the last quarter of an hour. Long held in check by a compact block put in place by Eusebio Di Francesco, Cristian Chivu’s Nerazzurri ended up cracking the local defense thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan (75th), before Manuel Akanji definitively sealed the fate of the match in the 82nd minute.

Dominant but sometimes imprecise, the Milanese had to wait to realize their superiority against a courageous Lecce but too limited offensively despite its 4-3-3. Refereeed by Gianluca Manganiello at the Stadio Via del Mare, this victory allows Inter to leave with three precious points in the lead race, as a reward for a serious and controlled performance over time.
