Nicolas Jackson should return to Chelsea this summer, his experience on loan at Bayern Munich not having convinced the German club to activate the purchase option. Arrived in Germany last summer on an initial loan of around €17 million, with an additional clause of €67 million to be triggered if the Senegalese played a certain number of matches. But Jackson did not meet the conditions: with only 22 appearances in all competitions, of which only 7 exceeded 45 minutes, Bayern do not appear ready to complete the purchase and the 24-year-old is therefore expected to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The former Villarreal striker, recruited by Chelsea in 2023, had attracted the interest of several clubs in Italy, Spain and the Premier League before his departure to Germany. If Chelsea have changed coaches since his departure, Jackson could remain open to all options and consider his place in the Blues project according to The Times.
