With Jonathan Burkardt, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and even the very young Ayoube Amaimouni, Frankfurt is spoiled for choice in attack. In the last matches, Kalimuendo had not always started the matches as a starter (twice as a substitute in the last 3 matches), but his coach Albert Riera confirmed his intentions to rely on the ex-Parisian. He also took the example of multi-star PSG, recalling that the French club had managed to field Mbappé, Neymar, Messi and Di Maria at the same time.

I found a new position for Kalimuendo (he played right winger against Fribourg) because I want to play with him. He gives me what I expect from him, it’s not a question of position but of characteristics. If three strikers have to play together to help us win, I will find a position for each. That’s my way of thinking, we have a good example of it. Remember when PSG with Mbappé, Di María, Neymar and Messi. Everyone was wondering how they could play together, but good players can always play together, provided – and it’s a very small thing – they respect their role when you don’t have the ball. We must respect the defensive work without the ball, but with the ball, it is difficult to tell these players what they must do, they already know it.
