Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Robert Lewandowski displays total serenity. The FC Barcelona striker’s contract expires next June, although with an additional year as an option. A situation which does not disturb the 37-year-old veteran in any way.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the Pole spoke about the continuation of his adventure in Catalonia. “The good thing is that I don’t have any pressure. At 30, or even a little younger, it would be different: I would like to know where I am going to play. But right now, I don’t need to know that. I am patient. I’m going to give myself about three months to decide what I want to do about my future. (…) Barcelona has everything we need, my family and I feel very good here,” confided the Warsaw native.

115 goals, 6 trophies

Since the start of the season, Lewandowski has played 32 matches in all competitions, including 17 as a starter, for a total of 14 goals and 3 assists offered to his teammates. Arriving in 2022 from Bayern Munich, the Eagles captain has 179 appearances, 115 goals and 23 assists. His three and a half year stay at the Camp Nou has so far been summed up with a fine track record: two Spanish championship titles, three Spanish Super Cups and one Spanish Cup.
