The multiplex of the 24th day of the Bundesliga offered suspense on all pitches this Saturday afternoon, with four matches played simultaneously. At the BayArena, Bayer Leverkusen limited the damage at home against Mainz (1-1). Despite an offensive team lined up by Kasper Hjulmand, the locals were surprised by a goal from Sheraldo Becker in the 67th minute, before Jarell Quansah saved his team (88th). At the Weserstadion, Werder Bremen snatched a short victory against Heidenheim (2-0). In a closed opposition, it was Jovan Milošević who made the difference in the 57th minute, allowing Daniel Thioune’s men to secure three precious points. The final CSC from Behrens locked the victory (90th + 7).

Much tighter match at Borussia Park between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Union Berlin (1-0). The two formations, organized in 3-4-2-1, believed to neutralize each other for a long time in a meeting poor in chances, but Kevin Diks finally offered victory with a late penalty (90th + 4). Finally, FC Sankt Pauli won on the Hoffenheim pitch (0-1), confirming its solidity away from home, thanks to former Brest player Mathias Pereira Lage. A tight multiplex where two of the four matches were decided by the smallest of margins, illustrating the intensity of this Bundesliga day, at a time when the country is preparing to have its eyes fixed on the Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich this Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.).
