Naples suffered, but came through at the end of the suspense to win on the Genoa pitch (2-3), in a completely crazy match. The locals opened the scoring in the 3rd minute thanks to a penalty from Malinovskyi, before Rasmus Højlund (20th) and Scott McTominay (21st) turned the game around for the visitors. Genoa didn’t give up and Colombo equalized in the 57th minute, maintaining the suspense until the very end.

The match descended into chaos in the second half: Juan Jesus was sent off in the 76th minute, leaving Naples ten to eleven. Despite this handicap, Conte’s men held on and obtained the victory in stoppage time thanks to a penalty converted by Højlund in the 90th + 6. A dramatic end to the match and a crucial victory for Napoli, who maintain the pace in the race for the Scudetto while leaving Genoa frustrated, but valiant.
