The two teams in the best form over the last 10 matches. Suffice to say that Arsenal’s trip to Brentford for the 26th day of the Premier League was not a walk in the park. And the start of the match confirmed it, with the Bees combative and dangerous, thanks to their striker Igor Thiago, who put Raya to work. In a fairly choppy match due to the commitment of the two teams, Eze had difficulty existing in the Gunners’ midfield, and he was logically replaced at the break by Odegaard.

Arsenal started the second half better, and found the opening with a nice header from Madueke, following a cross from HincapiĂ© (0-1, 63rd). Igor Thiago once again came across an imperial Raya, who was still going to give in to a house specialty on the Brentford side, Kayode’s long touch. Deflected by Van den Berg, it was victoriously headed by Lewis-Potter (1-1, 71st). And it was even Brentford who were close to going in front, without a huge tackle from Mosquera on Thiago in the 88th minute. The entry of Saka brought nothing to Arsenal’s side – despite a last huge opportunity from Martinelli who missed his face-to-face with the opposing goalkeeper – who let slip two precious points in the title race. Manchester City are now only 4 points away.
