Currently in Marbella for an internship with his players, Habib Beye has started his mission atMarseille Olympic. In the short term, the Senegalese technician has set his objectives: to remove doubts, clear heads and quickly find results in line with the ambitions of the Marseille club.

These remain high for the home stretch of this season. OM want to secure a place on the podium synonymous with direct qualification for the Champions League – the match against Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday will be crucial.

The club is also aiming for a Coupe de France title to bring home a trophy after 14 years of waiting. So many issues which will not overshadow the next transfer window period. Behind the scenes at OM, more than elsewhere, the question of transfers remains essential.

An offensive reinforcement next summer

Despite an already well-stocked attack with the presence of Mason Greenwood, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Amine Gouiri, Olympique de Marseille are already preparing for their summer transfer window by prospecting certain profiles in this sector. Among the type of striker sought would be a goalscorer capable of shining in a pivotal role. With this in mind, OM would have checked the name of Dion Beljo.

According to several Belgian sources, this Croatian striker with his imposing size (1.93m) would not leave the club indifferent, after having scored 18 goals in 32 appearances with Dinamo Zagreb this season. OM will not be alone on this issue since Habib Beye’s former club, Stade Rennais, would also have positioned themselves, in the same way as Newcastle, Leicester and Burnley.
