Naples: Kevin de Bruyne called Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling appears ready to revive his career, and not thanks to just anyone. Indeed, the 31-year-old English winger, who left Chelsea last week after a contract termination by mutual agreement, is now looking for a new challenge in Europe. According to the latest information from The Sundiscussions are reportedly underway with Naples, the current third in Serie A. In line with this process, Sterling hopes to reunite with his former Manchester City teammate, Kevin de Bruyne (34), to relaunch his career in Italy. The two players made their debut together in 2015 and shared seven seasons before Sterling left for London in 2022. The former Premier League player would even be ready to review his salary demands and favor a project suited to his family.

However, the source says Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna reiterated last week that Sterling’s high financial expectations could complicate a deal. Last summer, the Italian club had already tried to recruit him on loan, but the operation ultimately failed. A new attempt could therefore be relaunched this season, if more flexible conditions are accepted.
