The Bundesliga multiplex offered us four matches this Saturday. The most spectacular match of the day took place at the Allianz Arena. Solid leader of the championship, Bayern won against Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of a prolific meeting. While Aleksandr Pavlović opened the scoring for the locals (1-0, 15th), the unstoppable Harry Kane doubled the lead a few minutes later (2-0, 20th). Dominant, Vincent Kompany’s men took off after returning from the locker room thanks to an incredible goal from the left from Kane who, with this double, already has 28 goals in the league this season (3-0, 68th). Despite Burkardt’s reduction in the gap from the penalty spot (3-1, 77th) and the goal from hopeful Kalimuendo (3-2, 86th), Bayern held on and won to consolidate their first place.
In the other matches of this Saturday afternoon multiplex in Germany, Bayer Leverkusen surely had its head elsewhere. After beating Olympiakos in Greece in the middle of the week in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs, the Werkself lost in Berlin this Saturday on Rani Khedira’s only goal in the first period (1-0, 28th). With this setback, Leverkusen stagnates in sixth place. Hoffenheim, which is racing for the qualifying places in the Champions League, was hooked on Cologne. The visitors may have regrets with their clear domination and a goal denied to Burger on the hour mark. Hoffenheim remains third. Finally, Augsburg overthrew Wolfsburg after a crazy end to the match (2-3).
