By beating AS Monaco this Wednesday at Louis-II (2-3), PSG took an option to qualify for the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. Luis Enrique’s men, however, started their match in reverse by conceding two goals from Balogun, then missing a penalty through Vitinha. Paris finally got away with 11 against 10 after Golovin’s expulsion, but not enough to erase the doubts of the club’s former player, José-Karl Pierre-Fanfan.

It is a PSG which does not offer the guarantees of last season, especially in the second half of the season where they were able to win this Champions League. Defensively it was very solid. There we see that on the opening score it started from a loss of ball. They are not in the rhythm of a Champions League match, they are at a slow trot and are penalizedestimates the former Parisian defender at the microphone of Parisian. I have the feeling that we could add ten minutes and not much would happen. They had really barren possession, with very little intensity in the final third. It is a PSG which is looking for itself individually and collectively and which is struggling to be realistic at the moment.”
