Algeria, an important choice made official before the World Cup

This summer, Algeria will participate in the fifth World Cup in its history, after those of 1982, 1986, 2010 and 2014. Organized jointly in the United States, Mexico and Canada, this 2026 World Cup will be played from June 11 to July 19.

A little over three before the start of the tournament, the Fennecs have found their base camp. Riyad and his partners will stay at Rock Chalk Park, an ultra-modern sports complex based at the University of Kansas.

Algeria will play two matches in Kansas City and one in San Francisco

The base camp is located about 80 km from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where Vladimir Petkovic’s team will play two of their three group stage matches. His first match against the Argentinian world champions, on June 17, and the last against Austria, on June 28.

The Greens’ second match, against Jordan, is scheduled for the San Francisco Bay Area on June 23. The Greens will therefore travel by plane for this second confrontation, San Francisco being located nearly 3,000 kilometers from Kansas City.
