Cited among the potential candidates to join the French team with Jean Butez, Robin Risser prefers to keep a cool head. In an interview given to beIN SPORTSthe Lensois doorman said he was flattered by this recognition, without however moving forward too quickly. The French international hopeful is aware that other goalkeepers are already in place, like Lucas Chevalier, number 2 in the Blues and now at PSG, to whom he has also sent a message.
“It’s flattering (to be cited to join the French team group) but I leave that for others, I don’t pay attention to what can be said. And at the same time, I wish Lucas (Knight) to regain his starting place (at PSG). I wish him all the best, because he remains a very good goalkeeper in this championship, and a very good French goalkeeper.”
