Since the arrival of Michael Carrick on the Manchester United bench, the Red Devils are reviving. And beyond the four consecutive victories and a fourth place in the Premier League secured, some of Ruben Amorim’s undesirables are resurfacing and even establishing themselves there. This is the case of Kobbie Mainoo who has regained his splendor since the departure of the Portuguese manager. Used to not having his tongue in his pocket, Gary Lineker castigated Amorim for his management of the young England international.

“You know what? I say this as a joke, but, if I were Kobbie Mainoo, I would wonder if I should take Ruben Amorim to court. He ruined an entire year of this kid’s career. He’s an incredible player. My god, he makes everything look easy. I mean…he was completely detrimental to his career. I know his brother got in some trouble for writing “Free Kobbie” on his t-shirt, but he was absolutely right.”he said on the podcast The Rest Is Football.
