Randal Kolo Muani for 95 million, Hugo Ekitiké for 95 million, Omar Marmoush for 75 million, Luka Jovic for 63 million, Sébastien Haller for 50 million… In recent years, Frankfurt is known for making incredible sales on the transfer market. The German club is a career booster and often manages to highlight its attackers. And if there are sometimes a few small misses like Elye Wahi for example, the sports management does not hesitate to look for players with high potential.

Because what makes Frankfurt strong in the transfer window is also the ideas of the German club to find certain players. And with an efficient recruitment unit, sports director Markus Krösche does not hesitate to try his luck in the lower divisions. This winter, Frankfurt has also made two moves which already look very interesting to follow. The first is Younes Ebnoutalib who shone in D2 with Elversberg (12 goals in 17 matches). Bought for 8 million, he quickly found the net with Frankfurt (1 goal in 2 games) before being injured for several weeks. Regardless, his recruitment was already praised in the German press and many imagined an outbreak similar to Ekitiké or Kolo Muani in the future. But the 22-year-old Moroccan striker is not the only offensive find in this winter transfer window with a Moroccan accent.

Bought for 200,000 euros a few weeks ago

At the same time, Frankfurt went for the surprising left-handed winger Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab (20 years old) for 200,000 euros. The latter enjoyed the reserve side of TSG Hoffenheim in the German third division (9 goals and 6 assists in 18 games) and has since become a sensation in the Bundesliga. Arriving in a replacement role, he didn’t wait long before impressing everyone. And this Saturday, he had his first start against Gladbach. A start that he celebrated with a sublime goal from a curling left shot from outside the area. Enough to take care of his stats a little more with now three goals scored in 146 minutes played with Frankfurt. And also with an assist against Union Berlin in the championship.

A great debut that the club’s sporting director Markus Krösche was keen to salute. “He is carefree, passionate about the game, fast and courageous in duels. His relaxed attitude was already evident in training. He demonstrated his sense of goal in the third division with Hoffenheim. It’s unstoppable. He has the courage to make contact. It’s great that Ayoube was rewarded”he said after the meeting. Proof of his successful acclimatization, his former coach Dino Toppmöller was rave about him. “He showed great confidence on the field during our first days of training. He has a particular talent in duels and constantly seeks to repel the opponent. It brings that crucial element to our game when we need a goal. » Now under the orders of Albert Riera, former Bordeaux coach, Ayoube Amaimouni should continue to be talked about if he continues performances like that of this Saturday. This Sunday, he made the headlines in the German press who believe that he could single-handedly change the end of Frankfurt’s season. But one thing is certain, the German club still has one hell of a gem that could experience a crazy trajectory in the coming months.
