Put under pressure by Borussia Dortmund, who came back to three points after their victory over Mainz (4-0) last night, Bayern Munich responded in style. Thanks to a double from Kane and a goal from Goretzka, the reigning champion won in Bremen (0-3) and regained his distance from the BvB. The Bavarians now have a cushion of six units on their runner-up and twelve on the 3rd, the surprising Hoffenheim, who beat Freiburg 3-0 this Saturday.

Six lengths behind, Bayer Leverkusen is keeping pace with this authoritative 4-0 success over Sankt Pauli, but is still far from the podium. Eintracht is a little further behind, 7th, despite its big success over Gladbach 3-0 this afternoon. Finally, Hamburg defeated Union Berlin 3-2 after a spectacular duel.

The results from 3:30 p.m.:

Bayer Leverkusen 4 – 0 Sankt Pauli: Quansah (13th), Schick (14th), Tapsoba (52nd), Poku (78th)
