Arsenal were held to a draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers in an advanced match on Matchday 31 of the Premier League. Wolves snatched a valuable point after being 2-0 down, completing a spectacular comeback against the championship leaders.
The Gunners, however, got off to an excellent start: a header from Bukayo Saka in the fifth minute, followed by a second goal from Piero Hincapié in the second half on a perfectly timed run to recover a through ball. But Wolves did not give up: a sublime strike from Hugo Bueno reduced the gap on the hour mark, before a Calafiori own goal sealed the equalizer.
With this result, Arsenal are making life more difficult in the title race. Its direct pursuer, Manchester City, could reduce the gap in the event of a victory this Saturday against Newcastle.
