Mercato: Rennes gets rid of a flop!

Léo Ostigard’s adventure did not have the desired effect in Rennes. Recruited from Napoli to stabilize the Breton defense in the summer of 2024, the Norwegian rock was ultimately disappointing in Brittany. After half a season with 18 games, Ostigard was loaned to Hoffenheim to finish last season. Last summer, Ostigard was then loaned to Genoa because he did not fit into Habib Beye’s plans.

And after a satisfactory first part of the season in Italy, Genoa decided to exercise the option to purchase the 26-year-old defender. This is what the SRFC indicated in a press release published this Saturday: “loaned to Serie A since the start of the season, Leo Østigård is permanently transferred to Genoa. Good luck Leo, in club and selection.»
