Didier Deschamps made a new announcement about his future this Thursday, during the draw for the Nations League.

He will not be involved in the event, but Didier Deschamps wanted to register his presence at the
draw for the group stage of the next Nations Leaguethis Thursday. The opportunity for the coach of the Blues to take stock of the preparation for the World Cup, four months before the curtain rises for the tournament.

“We still have a lot to see but everything is going well, we had a studious seminar with my staff, where we reviewed all the areas to anticipate. We are missing a very important piece of data, the second opponent, but we are moving forward,” explained Didier Deschamps at the microphone of La Chaîne L’Équipe.

Deschamps confirms his departure after the World Cup

Once again, Didier Deschamps repeated that this World Cup in America would be his last mission at the head of the France team. “I have no regrets, it’s decided. My head is focused on this March tour, the preparation and then the World Cup. There will be another life…”he said with a smile. Comments confirmed by the president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Philippe Diallo, also present this Thursday evening. “I’m with Didier here, I wanted him to be here, he’s the current coach. His big challenge will be this World Cup where the French team will travel from June 10. This will be the last big challenge for him.”
