Darryl Bakola, one of OM’s most promising young talents, is preparing to leave France for Italy. According to our information, the 18-year-old midfielder must arrive this Sunday in Sassuolo to undergo his medical examination, thus formalizing a transfer estimated at 10 million euros, accompanied by 2 million bonuses. The agreement with the Italian club, a solid mid-table in Serie A, marks the end of a series which pitted the player against his training club, frustrated by playing time deemed insufficient this season.
As a result, Bakola is absent from the Marseille group for the trip against Paris FC this Saturday. Sassuolo is banking on the rapid integration of the young Frenchman, in particular thanks to the presence of Ismaël Koné, a former Marseillais already based in Emilia-Romagna, to facilitate his adaptation.
