AS Roma recruits Donyell Malen

It was expected, it’s now official. Donyell Malen joins AS Roma. His transfer was announced this Friday morning through an official press release.

“AS Roma are delighted to announce the arrival of Donyell Malen from Aston Villa. The transaction concludes with a loan with a purchase option. This striker, born in 1999, played for PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa, playing 294 matches and scoring 104 goals in all competitions for these clubs. A Dutch international, he has 49 caps and 13 goals with the Oranje, and notably participated in the 2021 and 2024 European Championships. During the latter, he was decisive in the round of 16 against Romania, a match won 3-0 by the Netherlands thanks to a double from him. He chose jersey number 14. Welcome to Rome, Donyell!”
