Manchester City is going through a delicate period and must react this Saturday against Wolverhampton (4 p.m.), during the 23rd day of the Premier League. Beaten in the derby by Manchester United (2-0), then in the Champions League by FK Bodø/Glimt (3-1), Pep Guardiola’s men are under pressure and no longer really have the right to make mistakes to revive the dynamic, both on the national and European scene.

The big surprise in the Citizens’ lineup concerns Erling Haaland, who starts the match on the bench. Author of an impressive start to the season with already 26 goals in all competitions, the Norwegian striker is preserved for reasons of fatigue, according to what Pep Guardiola recently declared. To replace him at the forefront, it is Omar Marmoush, freshly returned from CAN 2025, who is established. Also note the presence of Rayan Cherki in the starting lineup, he who scored City’s only goal during the European setback in midweek, as well as that of rookie Marc Guéhi.
