Stade Rennais loans Albert Grønbæk to Hamburg this time

Recruited in the summer of 2024 from Bodo-Glimt for €15 million, Albert Grønbæk played 18 matches in all competitions with Stade Rennais (2 goals, 1 assist), before going through a series of loans, first to Southampton then to Genoa.

The Italian club put an end to the adventure of the 24-year-old Danish attacking midfielder. He only made a short return to Brittany since this time he was loaned to Hamburg (14th in the Bundesliga) with an option to buy. He is still under contract at Rennes until 2029.
