Premier League sanctions Chelsea

It is not only in France that football authorities are cracking down on clubs. In England, the FA disciplinary committee is also very vigilant against all failings by English clubs. This Friday, it’s Chelsea’s turn to be pinned. Indeed, the London club was fined by the Premier League for behavior deemed inappropriate after the championship match against Aston Villa at the end of the year:

“Chelsea FC were penalized for breaching FA Rule E20.1 during their Premier League match against Aston Villa FC on Saturday December 27, 2025. The club is accused of failing to ensure that its players and/or staff in the technical area did not engage in inappropriate, provocative or offensive behavior after the final whistle. Chelsea FC admitted the facts. An independent disciplinary committee fined the club £150,000 following a hearing. The reasons for this sanction are available below.
