RB Leipzig hit hard during this winter transfer window! The case of Abdoul Koné (20 years old), which has been struggling to be completed in recent days, is finally seeing the end of the tunnel. Stade de Reims had reached an agreement in principle concerning the transfer of the young player playing in Ligue 2, and it is now official. Koné is now a Bundesliga player according to the latest lines written by the club on its X account. However, the defender will finish the season in France on loan, before joining the German team next June.

This operation is in line with the major transfers made by the club in recent seasons, after those of Hugo Ekitiké and Valentin Atangana. This transfer was concluded subject to the loan of Abdoul Koné to Champagne until the end of the season.
