Recruited by Bayer Leverkusen last summer, Eliesse Ben Seghir then said goodbye to AS Monaco, which he joined in 2020. A great opportunity before the World Cup
According to our information, Eliesse Ben Seghir is about to return to AS Monaco. Indeed, ASM and the management of Bayer 04 have almost reached an agreement for the return of the Moroccan winger, in the form of a loan. Some details are still to be worked out between the two clubs, as well as with the 20-year-old, but his return is on track.
Good news for Ben Seghir, but also for Monaco, which has been struggling for several weeks with a disillusioned Sébastien Pocognoli and Thiago Scuro increasingly in the hot seat. The arrival of Ben Seghir will nevertheless allow ASM to benefit from a new asset in attack, especially with Minamino’s injury. The Moroccan could only sign for Monaco this winter, having already played 43 minutes with the Monegasque club in Ligue 1, at the start of the season, before joining Leverkusen. His return to the Principality will also allow him to have more playing time to show himself in the eyes of Regragui, with a view to the 2026 World Cup.
