This victory for Dortmund at least has the merit of keeping the suspense alive in this season in Germany. By winning largely on the Union Berlin pitch this Saturday (0-3), the Marsupials came back to within eight points of Bayern Munich, who fell for the first time this season in the league against Augsburg earlier in the afternoon (2-1).

Emre Can opened the scoring from the penalty spot (0-1, 10th), Schlotterbeck scored from a corner (0-2, 53rd), while Beier finished the job with a cross strike on a serve from Jobe Bellingham (0-3, 84th). In the standings, Dortmund remains 2nd while the Union is 9th.
