Arriving in the summer of 2024 from Leeds, Charlie Cresswell (23 years old) has become the undisputed boss of the TFC defense. Having played all the minutes of the 2025-2026 season in Ligue 1 with 3 goals scored and an assist delivered, the English U21 international, under contract with the Violets until June 2028, is attracting envy, particularly in Germany where Wolfsburg is not giving up the U21 European champion with England. After a first offer of 18 million euros, then another of 20, the German club, currently 12th in the Bundesliga, revised its offer upwards, now offering around 23 million euros for the central defender.

A proposal once again swept aside by Toulouse management. According to The Athleticthe TFC has set the bar very high: it will be necessary to pay more than 30 million euros to hope to snatch the player this winter. The Wolfsburg Wolves are not alone in this. West Ham, currently fighting to stay in the Premier League, is still following the file after a failure last summer. With his 53 appearances in the purple jersey and his Euro U21 title with England, Cresswell is one of the safest market values in the French championship.
