Chelsea therefore chose to entrust their bench to Liam Rosenior, the English coach who until then officiated at Strasbourg, another club owned by BlueCo. And inevitably, this provokes a reaction from many Strasbourg fans, who stand up against the harms of timeshare ownership. However, Liam Rosenior takes the problem from another angle, and hopes that the supporters will not only understand his choice, but will be happy with it.

“I am here to talk about Strasbourg, not to talk about the future. Like I said, I’m excited and I hope people understand it, that fans have the empathy to understand it. I hope not (may the supporters be angry, editor’s note). The reality in football is that there are club levels. Strasbourg’s ambition is to reach the top. Strasbourg is not at the same level as Chelsea. But we can’t say no to certain clubs. Fans can be proud to know that a manager from their club is considered capable of coaching Chelsea. It was also hard for me to choose to leave Strasbourg”explained Liam Rosenior during his press conference. Not sure that his argument is enough to delight the fans.
