Girona provided the essentials at home by winning against Osasuna (1-0) on the 19th day of La Liga. In a generally closed and contested match, Míchel’s men made the difference just before the break thanks to Vladyslav Vanat, scorer in the 44th minute after a well-constructed sequence on the Catalan side. Solid defensively, Girona was able to maintain this advantage after returning from the locker room.
Osasuna, organized in 4-2-3-1 by Alessio Lisci, tried to react in the second half, relying in particular on Budimir and Rubén García, without however managing to deceive Gazzaniga, vigilant in his cages. Thanks to this controlled success at Montilivi, Girona confirms its good momentum and climbs to 12th place in the ranking after having collected three precious points, while Osasuna leaves frustrated after a serious performance, but sterile offensively.
