It’s the thunderclap of the start of the week. Manchester United have decided to sack their manager, Ruben Amorim, with immediate effect due to a poor run of results and especially his inflammatory statements after the draw at Leeds on Sunday evening. “The club management have made the decision, reluctantly, that it is time to make a change. This decision will give the team the best chance of finishing the championship as high as possible”indicated the Mancunian club.

And after Sky SportsRuben Amorim is not surprised to have been thanked. The Portuguese expected it after his breakdown the day before and will now return to his family, before probably being absent for a few days. The 40-year-old believes he has always given an honest opinion and has made it clear that he believes MU needs one or two experienced recruits during this transfer period. Amorim wants to be faithful to his principles and hopes to resume his coaching career soon, according to the British media.
