Aston Villa are studying the path leading to Conor Gallagher in order to strengthen their midfield during the winter transfer window. Eager to bring energy and depth to his squad, Unai Emery particularly appreciates the profile of the English midfielder, whom he has faced several times in the Premier League. The Villans had already tried to attract Gallagher before his departure for Atlético de Madrid, and could return to the charge as the club aims for an ambitious second half of the season according to the Daily Mail.
Aged 25, Gallagher continues his matches with the Madrid club, but remains attentive to the interest of Aston Villa, who hopes to give themselves the means to play leading roles in the league or, at a minimum, to ensure qualification for the Champions League. The discussions will, however, depend on the financial constraints of the English club, with Atlético willing to listen to offers around 35 million pounds, or approximately just over 40 million euros.
