Two weeks before the end of the winter transfer window, OM have moved up a gear. To date, two files seem to be priorities for the Olympian management: that of Angevin midfielder Himad Abdelli, for whom the club has already made an offer of 2 million euros accompanied by bonuses and a percentage on resale. And that of Feyenoord right winger Anis Hadj Moussa.

While waiting to materialize these ideas, as announced by President Pablo Longoria at the opening of the transfer window, the Marseille staff are working to replenish the coffers. And after having sold one of its great offensive promises – Robinio Vaz – to AS Roma for 25 million euros including bonus, this is another departure that OM can already formalize.

Salary saved

Unwanted for many months, Pol Lirola has found a buyer in Serie A – a championship he knows well having played at Sassuolo, Fiorentina and Frosinone after finalizing his training at Juve. Following the termination of his Marseille lease, the 28-year-old Spanish full-back signed for Hellas Verona this Sunday.

No financial compensation for OM, therefore, but a reduced payroll all the same. In Marseille, Pol Lirola earned 125,000 euros per month. This season, he has only played 34 minutes spread over three appearances, the last dating back to 1er last November. In total, since 2021, the former Iberian Espoirs international will have worn the sky and white jersey 95 times, for a yield of four goals and eight assists.
