The Confederation of African Football ruled on Wednesday evening on the case of Samuel Eto’o. The president of the Cameroonian Federation received a four-match suspension accompanied by a fine of 20,000 dollars for his behavior following the elimination of Cameroon against Morocco (0-2), during the CAN 2025, last Friday.

The former glory of the Indomitable Lions had lost its composure in the stands of the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat. He had strongly expressed his dissatisfaction with the arbitration in front of Patrice Motsepe and Fouzi Lekjaa, respectively presidents of CAF and the Moroccan Federation.

FECAFOOT steps up to the plate

Eto’o is the subject of disciplinary proceedings for his reactions deemed excessive against the decisions of the refereeing body. Note that at the same time, FECAFOOT immediately contested the sanction imposed on its president. “This decision is devoid of any explicit motivation”denounced the Central African body in a press release.
