Hospitalized last summer, Maurizio Sarri once again went through the billiards box. Lazio announces that its 66-year-old coach underwent minor heart surgery following the discovery of atrial fibrillation.
“SS Lazio announces that coach Maurizio Sarri, following a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation, underwent transcatheter ablation with PFA technology at the Tor Vergata Polyclinic. The intervention, carried out by Professor Andrea Natale, an international pioneer with more than thirty years of experience in the treatment of this pathology, was carried out successfully. The social doctor of SS Lazio, Dr. Italo Leo, was present during the intervention. The coach will normally resume his duties at the head of the team in the coming days.
