Frenchman Hugo Ekitiké is out of the match against Fulham this Sunday (4 p.m.). The French striker is not in the Liverpool squad due to a slight Achilles tendon injury, as Arne Slot explained before kick-off. An absence which constitutes a new blow for the Reds, already deprived of Alexander Isak, recently the victim of a serious injury.

To compensate for this package, Arne Slot decided to reposition Cody Gakpo at the forefront of the attack. The Dutchman will be supported by a trio composed of Wirtz, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, responsible for leading the offensive sector against Fulham. An offensive choice which reflects Liverpool’s forced adaptation in a context of a weakened squad.
