LaLiga has just revealed the amounts received by its clubs thanks to TV rights for the 2024/2025 season. It was Real Madrid who pocketed the biggest jackpot, namely 157.52 million euros, out of the total of 1.43 billion euros which is distributed between the D1 and D2 clubs. It’s 2 million less than the season before for the Merengues, but it’s more than Barça, reigning champion and current leader, who went from 162.49 million to 156.45 million euros. Decreases which can be explained in particular because the two clubs, and especially Real Madrid, refused to collaborate on certain remunerative points, such as letting cameras into the locker room or making players available for interviews.

Atlético pocketed 108.17 million euros, while the top 4 is completed by Athletic Club, which received 72 million euros. Leganés, today in D2, is the team which received the least money with 39 million euros. As a reminder, the distribution of shares of the pie is done according to different criteria such as the extent of the fanbases, audiences and sporting results. It should be noted that from 2027, the share of the cake that the clubs will share will increase by 60 million euros per season following the latest upwardly revised agreements sealed by La Liga with the broadcasters.
