Mali and Senegal will meet this Friday on the lawn of the Ibn Batouta stadium in Tangier for the quarter-finals of CAN 2025. This clash will decide which of these two West African neighbors will join the last four of the competition.

The challenge promises to be far from simple for Tom Saintfiet’s men. Since entering the competition, the Eagles have had a string of draws. Against Tunisia in the round of 16, they validated their qualification for this round after a penalty shootout (1-1, tab 3-2).

For its part, Senegal confirms its favorite status for the moment. The Lions of TĂ©ranga remain on three wins and a draw in four matches, including a victory against Sudan (3-1) in the round of 16. The last two confrontations between the two teams ended in a victory for Senegal and a draw.
