Faced with an avalanche of injuries, notably being deprived of Mohammed Salisu until the end of the season and of Christian Mawissa for several weeks, AS Monaco is forced to strengthen in central defense this winter. With reduced financial room for maneuver, the Principality club favors the option of a loan and has made El-Chadaille Bitshiabu (20 years old) one of its priorities, according to The Team. Lacking playing time at RB Leipzig, where he has only played five games in all competitions this season, the 20-year-old defender could be tempted by a rebound in order to restart his progress.

The Monegasque leaders are reportedly considering a loan offer, without a purchase option, for the former PSG Titi, under contract with the German club until June 2029. OL, also in search of defensive reinforcements, is closely monitoring the file and could also make a first offer. But Monaco and Lyon are not alone in this: Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen have also inquired and are considering a loan with a purchase option, which could complicate the task of French clubs.
