Juventus could soon finalize its organizational chart with the appointment of its new sporting director, a position that has remained vacant until now. Damien Comolli’s choice falls on Marco Ottolini, recently released from his duties at Genoa at the end of October. A profile already well known in Turin, since Ottolini has long been associated with Juve in recent months, notably for a role as technical director before the appointment of François Modesto. This time he would arrive to fully occupy the function of sports director, with particular attention paid to scouting and construction of the squad, in close collaboration with Modesto and under the direct supervision of Comolli.

This return to Juventus would be a continuation of a career appreciated internally. Ottolini has already worked at the Bianconero club between 2018 and 2022, first as an international recruiter, then as head of loan players, a key role in monitoring talent playing outside Italy. After this experience, he joined Genoa, where he contributed to the rise to Serie A in his first season, before ensuring the club’s retention in the elite. A trajectory considered positive, which reinforces the confidence of the Turin management in the idea of entrusting Ottolini with a central role in the new sporting project of Juventus.
